Honing or Finishing Sticks are intended for use where precision dimensional limits and grade controls are required. Honing is typically employed on internal cylindrical surfaces employing bonded abrasive sticks or superabrasive hones to remove stock and achieve surface accuracy. Standard products are either square or rectangular. Other shapes are available as exceptions. They are used for manual or mechanical honing on machines where they are mounted in holders or fixtures.
